Nippers Nutrition

A Study into the nutritional quality of meals provided to children under 5 in nurseries.

During March 2007 - April 2008 Sarah Almond was commissioned by East Sussex Trading Standards to participate on a project looking at the nutritional content of food provided to toddlers in childcare. The project came about as a result of the work already completed nationally on healthy eating in schools which prompted the concept of investigating in younger childcare settings, as this is where, for some children eating habits (good and bad) are formed.
